Disney and Marvel: To Me, My X-Mice!

Disney CEO: Okay guys. Wayne Allwine (Mickey's voice actor) is dead, and his wife (voice of Minnie) is about to kick the bucket too. Miley Cyrus is only going to get older and I'm sure there's some scandalous picture of Selena Gomez engaged in lesbian acts with Ashley Tisdale and Brenda Song floating around on the internet. What can we do to boost sales and our stock value?

1 Board Member: I got my son the Iron Man Blu-Ray DVD for his birthday, and he loved it?
Disney CEO: BRILLIANT! We'll buy Marvel!

My proposed (falsely imagined) scenario of what happened. On the positive side (and a miniscule shareholder), it seems like a business savvy move for Disney. What with their pwnership of ESPN and ABC amongst other things, adding on the hot market of Marvel seems like something smart for a company based pretty much solely on entertainment and merchandising.

On the negative side? Insert your worst case scenario here!

And on the artistic side: God I love the spoofs coming out. So looking forward to the editorial cartoons...

Sorry Walt, we can't save it now, but we could /can/ build ourselves an AWESOMESAUCE power suit that shoots photon beams!
